This backyard was one big rectangle of dead lawn. The homeowner wanted to entertain more and wanted to see more life in the yard when looking through their windows, so the dead lawn had to go.
This home had recently been remodeled and the backyard had been destroyed in the process. The family loves to entertain and has pets that like the lawn. With the yard having none of those qualities, adding new sod, fresh plants, mulch, walkways and a decomposed granite patio for a fire pit helped to bring those road blocks to a close.
This was a very small space with nothing but concrete and these paver beds. The homeowner said it felt cold, uninviting, and almost as it was a commercial property. Adding plants of variety and seasonal interest made the space welcoming and peaceful.
The homeowners of this property had a front yard of some old lawn and a few random plants purchased at nurseries. As they drove up to their home they felt the weight of a dead yard on their shoulders. This 3D design helped to visualize their new space before installation.
